Roshni Chopra crowned India’s Desi Girl




After B-town's actress Priyanka Chopra, television presenter-model-actress Roshni Chopra was crowned as India’s ‘Desi Girl’. Seven weeks of struggle in Sialba Majri with contestants and tasks led to the winning of this budding actress.

The happy-go-lucky Roshni said, “My experience in Sialba Majri has been one of the most fulfilling and challenging journeys. And I can proudly say is that the seven weeks I’ve spent here have helped me discover my inner desi girl.”

Roshni was one of the eight contestants from Mumbai who participated in NDTV Imagine's reality show in Sialba Majri village near Chandigarh city.

Other seven hotties were Sambhavna Seth, Kashmera Shah, Monica Bedi, Anmol Singh, Rucha Gujarati, Ishitta Arun & Aushima Sawhney.

Married to director Siddharth Anand Kumar, Roshni Chopra, 30, became famous in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kasamh Se’.

‘Desi Girl’ is one-of-its-kind concept co-produced by BBC Worldwide Production. The show centered around modern girls, who had to live in a village to compete for ‘Desi Girls’ title.

Performing well in all the tasks, Roshni, Kashmera and Ishitta were the three top contestants of the show. The results of the show were based on 30 percent votes of India and 70 percent votes of villagers.

As per the votes from India, Kashmera was at the top following Ishitta and Roshni. While according to the villagers, Roshni was at the top following Kashmera and Ishitta.
