Ekta Kapoor set for debut on reality TV show

Ekta Kapoor set for debut on reality TV show

One would expect Ekta Kapoor to have a thorough knowledge of what's happening on small screen.

But it seems the soap- queen is not too sure about her grasp over the subject. While she may have converted millions of women across the country into ardent followers of her logicdefying serials, Ekta herself is not a couch potato.

This interesting bit of information came to light when NDTV Imagine approached Ekta to participate in their reality show Big Money , to be hosted by actor R. Madhavan. Big Money is a game show in which all questions are based on TV programmes. The format of the show is such that an entire family has to play together.

Anyway, Ekta is taking her time to decide whether she is willing to appear on the show with her family in tow.

"Ekta doesn't watch her own shows. But she doesn't miss her rival shows and also keeps a close tab on international television. So, while she has a fair knowledge about other TV programmes, the same can't be said about her own shows. That's why Ekta is uncertain about appearing on the show." If she finally agrees, Ekta will appear on the show with dad Jeetendra, mom Shobha and brother Tusshar Kapoor. But before that, she will have to sit for an entrance test. To make it to Big Money , one has to clear an entrance test first.

Additi Gupta who, unfortunately was the first one to get eliminated from ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’, talks about her future plans. She hopes to be back on television but isn’t keen to do reality shows now. According to her, ZND proved to be unlucky for her as she was the one who always got negative comments for her performances, even off screen.

Additi says, “I won’t take up any reality show again. I will definitely ensure that I do something that suits me and is my forte. In ‘Zara…’ I was much in the news particularly when it came to pointing out my oversights. I know that I’m not a great dancer. The off screen comments were negative too and after sometime I couldn’t take it anymore! ‘Zara…’ was very unlucky for me.”

“So now I have made my mind not to participate in reality shows,” adds Additi. So what are you up to now? “Right now I am busy with a promotional activity for Star Plus but it won’t be telecast. Personally I am pampering myself, going to the spa, getting massages and so on. After which I will be back on television again,” concludes Additi.
